This walk has been planned by one of the regular Mold Monday Morning Walkers, Neil Ogilvie and his last Anglesey walk was blessed with wonderful weather, so here’s hoping. Neil says "The walk follows the Anglesey Coastal Path to Dinas Gynfor hillfort passing St Patrick’s Church & the ruins of Porth Llanlleiana china clay works & returns through farmland & lanes.” Neil also provides travel instructions as follow -

Directions: Cross the Britannia bridge & stay on A55 & follow signs for Holyhead. Leave A55 at junction 3 for Valley, at Valley turn right at the traffic lights onto A5025 toward Amlwch for about 11 miles. This route is usually the fastest.
Or cross the Britannia bridge & take junction 8 onto A5025 sign posted Benllech & Amlwch for about 18 miles & turn right into Cemaes.

As with all Walkabout Flintshire walks, this walk is open to anyone so please let me know if you or anyone you know would like to join us. Bring a snack/picnic for part way round.

On the day, if you are on your way and are running late give me a call.

Best regards

Flint RNLI Open Day.

(RNLI building will be open from 9.30am and free car parking is available between the lifeboat station and Flint Castle)

Each year the Buckley walkers support the Flint branch of the R.N.L.I. with a choice of two walks (usually either 3 miles or 4.5) followed by tea or coffee and wonderful refreshments provided for us by Kath and her helpers. We ask everyone to make a voluntary donation (suggested to be a minimum of £5) either in advance to any Buckley leader or on the day itself. This event, as indeed all the walks in Flintshire are, is open to walkers or supporters from any of our groups.

We would like to know how many to expect so if you or any of your walkers would like to attend please could I ask for a phone call or email to let me know numbers before July 24th please.

Thanks for your support.
