MONDAY

MOLD

It has become necessary to change the start point of the Mold Monday Morning Weekly Walk once again. It used to be the Drovers, then the Daniel Owen Centre, then the Bryn Awel but with immediate effect, i.e. 25th October 2011, will be from -

Tesco Mold Car-park (bottom end), 
for Sat-nav users the post-code is CH7 1UB
for map readers it's grid reference- SJ 242 638
for everyone else it's the bottom end away from the store.

We have their managements' permission and their toilets will be available before and after the walk; as will be their cafeteria. (I couldn't get discount!)

The time remains as 10:15am for a 10:30am walk start and will be an easy walk of 60 to 75 minutes.

  

DEESIDE

1.15pm for 1.30pm start at the Corus Sports & Social Club, Rowleys Drive, Shotton, CH5 1PY. Grade A/B & C as there is a choice of 2 walks, one brisk and one normal of between 60 and 90 minutes. On bank holidays, all Deeside walks will start from Wepre Park Visitors Centre. Start times will remain the same however the walk lengths will be between 50-90 minutes. Refreshments available after the walk .

 

FLINT

1.45pm for 2pm start at the Flint Pavilion Leisure Centre, Centre entrance, CH6 5ER. Grade A lasting for approximately 50 minutes. Refreshments available after the walk.

 

TUESDAY

BUCKLEY

9.45am for 10am start from The Potters Wheel car park (CH7 2EG). Grade B lasting approximately 90 minutes.Refreshments available after the walk usually at the Windmill cafe.

1st and 3rd Tuesday walks are out of town car share to take in areas around Buckley.

From !st January 2012 we will not meet at Buckley beforehand but go directly to the Published out of Town walk location.

 

TALACRE

10.15am for 10.30am start at the Smugglers Inn car park, end of Station Road, Talacre. Grade Int lasting approximately 40 minutes. Refreshments available after the walk at the Lighthouse Inn Diner.

MOLD

1.45pm for 2pm start at the Drovers Arms, Denbigh Road, Mold, CH7 1BP. Grade B/C lasting 75 - 90 minutes. There is an optional car walk on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Refreshments available after the walk.

 

WEDNESDAY

FLINT

10.15am for 10.30am start at the Flint Pavilion Leisure Centre, Centre entrance, CH6 5ER. Grade B lasting for approximately 90 minutes. Refreshments available in Flint Town Hall after the walk.

CAERWYS

1.45pm for 2pm start at the Caerwys Golf Club car park, Pen y Cefn Road, top of Drovers Lane. Grade A/B lasting for approximately 60 - 90 minutes. Refreshments available after the walk.

HALKYN - SUMMER ONLY

From Wednesday 6th April. Meet at 6.45pm for 7pm start at the Blue Bell Inn car park, Halkyn, Rhosesmor, CH8 8DL. Grade A/B as walks lasting approximately 60 and 90 minutes are available. Refreshments available after the walk.

 

THURSDAY

MOSTYN

10.15am for 10.30am start at the Mostyn Community Centre, off Ffordd Ddyfrdwy, Maes Pennant, Mostyn, CH8 9DE. Grade A/B lasting for approximately 60 minutes. Refreshments at Mostyn Community Centre available after the walk.

MOLD

10.15am for 10.30am start at the Parkfields Community Centre, next to Mold Hospital, CH7 1XG. The walk is held at the Introductory level and lasts for approximately 45 minutes with refreshments in Mold Hospital after the walk.

HALKYN

1.45pm for 2pm start at Blue Bell Inn car park, Halkyn, Rhosesmor, CH8 8DL. Grade B/C walk lasting 90 minutes. Refreshments available after the walk at the Blue Bell Inn. The 6th anniversary of the Halkyn walk will be on the 8th April 2010, join us for some celebrations!

BUCKLEY

09.45 for 10.00 start. Meet at The Potters Wheel car park (CH7 2EG) for a choice of two walks. The slow/short walk last about 1 hour and is graded "A". The longer/faster walk is 3/4 miles and is graded "B/C". Walk leaders are Jim and Lyn Dyson.

LOGGERHEADS COUNTRY PARK

10.30 am; Meet at the offices (CH7 5LH) for Nordic Walking. Duration is about 60+ minutes. Special poles will be provided.

 

FRIDAY

HAWARDEN

9.45am for 10am start at The Hawarden Institute (31, Glynne Way, Hawarden, Deeside, Flintshire. CH5 3NS ).. A choice of 60 and 90 minute walks are available at normal and brisk paces, grades A, B and C. If you are a beginner start on the 60 minute normal walk and gradually build yourself up.

ASTON

10.15am for 10.30am start at the Melrose Inn car park, Central Drive, Higher Shotton CH5 1LR. The walk is graded as a n A/B walk lasting for approximately 60 minutes with refreshments at the Melrose inn after the walk.

HAWARDEN 

1.15pm for 1.30pm start at The Hawarden Institute (31, Glynne Way, Hawarden, Deeside, Flintshire. CH5 3NS ). The walk lasts upto 90 minutes (with shorter walks available on request) at grades A, B and C. Guided tours of the library are also available, please speak to a walk leader to arrange. There is no parking available in the library so please use other parking facilities considerately in the village.

BROUGHTON & BRETTON

1.15 for 1.30m start at the Offa's Dyke Public House, Broughton Hall Road, Broughton. The walk lasts for approximately 60 - 90 minutes and is graded as an A/B walk. Refreshments at the pub after the walk.

RHES-Y-CAE - SUMMER ONLY

Starting on 9th April 2010 and running until the 24th September 2010, this walk meets at 6.30pm for a 6.45pm start at the Miner's Arms, Rhes-y-Cae. Lasting for approximately 90 minutes, the walk is graded as an A/B walk. Refreshments at the pub after the walk.

 

SATURDAY

TALACRE

10.15am for 10.30am start at the Smuggler's Inn car park, Station Road, Talacre. The walk is graded as an A/B walk lasting approximately 90 minutes and finishing at the Lighthouse Inn Diner for refreshments.

HALKYN

10.15am for 10.30am start at Blue Bell Inn car park, Halkyn, Rhosesmor, CH8 8DL. Grade B/C walk lasting 90 minutes. Refreshments available after the walk at the Blue Bell Inn.

 

SUNDAY

HOLYWELL (except for last sunday of the month)

9.45am for 10am start at the Community Centre entrance, Moor Lanem Holway, Holywell. The walk lasts for approximately 3 hours and is at a C grade. Please bring picnic snack for the break during the walk.
